“About Us” is a short but tasteful story. I have been a guitarist for over 40 years. Born in 1962. I have been in garage bands, duo’s, trio’s, full electric guitar bands, studio work and just plain jam sessions. The jam sessions always seem to go over the best.
So, we (myself and friends) have begun this website to help other musicians of any style, race, religion, gender or ethnicity, get over some hurtles. First and foremost, the music industry as a whole is dead. But, things always have a way of coming full circle.
So while I hope music stores themselves survive, there is one constant, music. Music will be with the human race for always. whether it be beating two sticks together on a log to form a beat or some form of dance. Humans will find a way. It will never go away.
So, we are currently based out of NJ. That may change soon. But the web page and musician contributions (input) will remain as always.
There are articles about using a Capo, Strings, Guitar pedals, Amplifiers etc. Links to web pages that we hope will help and inspire musicians from all over the globe and all styles. Musical style has very little to do with what and how you use something, you just need to know the beginning then take control from there and develop your sound and style. You’ll see.
I believe it was Robert Fripp was quoted as saying to the effect of…
“Learn everything you can then forget it all, and just play.” It took a while but I learned exactly what he meant.
Now, while I personally should be on my third greatest hits album by now, I haven’t written a single song. My band and I love performing covers. It will be up to you to decide which you like to do. Write music or play others music. There is no right or wrong good or bad. Only practice and you.
Like we said. Style, performance or non performance, beginner or pro. It does not matter. Music is so beautiful, I personally enjoy it all.
